Karl Grohmann


Masters of Physiotherapy

Karl graduated from the Masters of Physiotherapy course at the University of Canberra in 2015. He has experience in many different fields of rehabilitation and exercise also graduating from the Masters of Exercise Physiology in 2012. Karl’s background is in hydrotherapy where he has worked as an exercise physiologist at capital hydrotherapy treating patients with many different acute and chronic conditions. These conditions include lower back pain, orthopaedic procedures and patients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents. Karl currently co-manages the aquatic physiotherapy program for tm physio. Karl is based at our Kippax and Deakin practices.

Karl has experience treating AFL and rugby league athletes at a local level around the Canberra region treating players from the Gungahlin Jets and the Belconnen United Scholars as a sports trainer/first aid officer.

In the corporate setting Karl has experience assessing cardiovascular and diabetes risk ensuring appropriate education on diet and exercise for these lifestyle related diseases.

Karl enjoys treating acute and chronic injuries as well as post-surgical patients and gains great satisfaction from achieving pre-injury levels of function.

In his spare time he likes to relax, swim, exercise – gym based and cardio and has a keen interest in the visual arts including drawing and painting, and visiting galleries around Canberra and other states.
