Buff Bones

A small group exercise program, specific to improve your bone health

Exercises targeted at improving or stopping the decline of bone mineral density. This is done through heavy loads in a supervised setting through full body functional movement patterns in a gym setting.

A big part of osteoporosis and osteopenia is improving balance. With low bone density a fall can have worse outcomes, so maintaining balance with falls prevention exercises and education is vital to reduce the risk of fractures.

With the wholistic outlook of improving bone density, education and reducing falls risk, the bone class ticks all the boxes for exercising in a safe manner to improve quality of life.

What is the main difference between this class and other group exercise classes?

Our Buff Bones is a smaller group exercise program. We provide patients with an exercise program that is specific to bone health, that is completed under supervision and with assistance from our exercise physiologist.

Class Details?

  • Our Buff Bones Class is an 12 week program 
  • 2x per week in a small group class (total (24 session)
  • WHEN: Monday and Friday at 8:15am
  • Plus a one on one pre-assessment (30min)
  • Cost
    • $50 for the Pre-Assessment. 
    • $25 per class total $600 for 12 weeks (Private Health available)
  • Where: This class is run at our Kippax clinic

Can I continue with my class after the 12 week block?

No, we have multiple options which our Exercise Physiologist can discuss with you but at this time we would refer you to another program through TM Physio or you could utilize one to one consults to maintain and progress your independent home program.

One of the main goals of the class is to provide education on how to use exercise to manage bone health and empower you to be able to self manage through an independent gym or club membership, or join another class with this in mind.
