Canberra Physiotherapy clinic – TM Physio Canberra

MEL MACOUN

Pain PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Mel's areas of interest are:

Chronic Pain Physiotherapy

Mel has been with TM Physio since 2016, having enjoyed a career in both public and private settings. Through her studies of her Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, attained in 2009, she developed her skills and knowledge for private practice physio, in parallel with her specialised training in the field of Pain Physiotherapy.

After evolving her practice to serve people with persistent, recurrent, complex and chronic pain complaints, Mel went on to qualify as a Nutrition, Health and Wellness Coach in 2023. Preferring an educational and coaching approach to recovery, she then “retired her hands” and now consults for TM Physio for specific cases that would benefit from her extensive expertise in the chronic pain area.

When she’s not working, Mel plays taxi to her two boys, trail runs with her friends, and bakes sourdough. She is also a casual Yoga teacher, just for fun.
